Remembering 'SALLY CLARK'

1965 - 16th March 2007
'Sally Clark - victim of a miscarriage of justice'
It is with the very greatest sadness that Sally Clark's family announces that Sally was found dead at her home this morning, having passed away during the night. The matter is in the hands of the coroner and it is too early to provide any further information. Sally's family very much hopes that the media will refrain from making any enquiries or attempts to contact them at this painful time. Sally, aged 42, was released in 2003 having been wrongfully imprisoned for more than 3 years, falsely accused of the murder of her two sons. Sadly, she never fully recovered from the effects of this appalling miscarriage of justice. Sally, a qualified solicitor, was a loving and talented wife, mother, daughter and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
' On Wednesday 21st March 2007'
Steve and Sally's family would like to thank all of those people who have taken the time and trouble to send them messages of support. It will be impossible for us to reply to the thousands of well-wishers who have contacted us, but your kind words are a great source of comfort to us at this sad time. We ask that no flowers be sent, but you may wish to make a donation to a Fund which we are setting up to honour Sally's memory and support Manchester Children's Hospital.
'The Clark Fund' registered charity number 1118607
Donations to the fund established in Sally's memory may be sent to "The Clark Fund", registered charity No. 1118607, at Lloyds TSB Bank plc, 38 Blue Boar Row, Salisbury SP1 1DB. The fund will be administered by trustees to support the specialist paediatric work of Professor Tim David at the new Manchester Children's Hospital.
Taxpayers may increase their donation by 28% by completing a Gift Aid form.
