I'd like to congratulate the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) on the 11th anniversary of National Adoption Week. It is a fundamental right of every child to belong to a loving and stable family. We know that many children in care wait too long to be adopted; and that for some a suitable adoptive family is never found. National Adoption Week is vital in helping to raise awareness of adoption and the number of children in care who are waiting for new permanent families. Most importantly, National Adoption Week encourages more prospective adopters to come forward".
