Hi would make the courts
more open to the public, and not behind close doors. I would re-train the
social workers to make the right choice, in whether the child is at risk or
not. Make sure they don't tell lies to the courts. The child or children
stay with the parents that are innocent.
Needs to be more fairer,

It would be better if the whole target system was stopped, marriage and
Christian values once more became central to Britain and abortion was
BANNED. Then you should not have a desire to STEAL wanted children!
it seems to me that
transparency and accountability mentioned above would improve matters
tremendously. However parents need a bill of rights as any rights they seem
to have are disintegrated as soon as they enter the courts. The ongoing
relationship between the judge and the LA barrister is always the
controlling factor they run the show, in any case this should not be so.
They should be held
accountable for corruption!
Train the service
providers properly and stop teaching them rubbish.
Service providers need to experience real life- so send them all to live for
6 months with a family on a sink estate- with the same money that poor
people get- then they will learn more than 100 yrs of reading books or
listening to lectures etc AND THAT COSTS LESS.
Ask SS to stop rewarding child abusers - just to keep the game in play,
creating jobs etc, but the children suffer.
In order for the public to
improve a institutionalised system evidently so secret and so grotesque you
must first educate and influence minds of the inventors of such a system.
Easier said than done when you find the inventors of the current systemic
failures in child protection are our very own 'Members of Parliament' So why
for children’s sake are they not urgently sorting out this catastrophic mess
I hear you ask? - Simple! Because a whopping 40% of MP's are either
solicitors, barristers or have backgrounds associated with family law, and
who have all benefited or continue to benefit financially as unscrupulous
‘Gravy Train’ passengers in a unregulated nationalised industry turning over
fifty billion pounds a year while constantly travelling at high speed down a
one-way track illegally running red lights with a annual ticket stamped paid
in the interests of children.
The Whole System Needs To

Social services need to be
held accountable for their actions and the complaints system MUST be
completely independent.
Get rid of social
services.
First open the courts to
the media so that people who feel that they are going to lose their children
due to injustice can have that chance to save their family. Many families
who have got their children home would have lost them if social work
corruption had not been exposed in the media.
Many children want to go the media to expose how badly they were treated in
the system.
The idea that publishing a judgment is the answer to court injustice is
ludicrous. It is one judges opinion. For example in the Websters case the
first judge in his judgment gave a glowing account of social services and
experts in his judgment. When the Websters went to the media and went to
court again, the second judge condemned the first proceedings as a shambles.
If one had relied on the first judgment,rather than media exposure the
Websters would not have kept their baby and injustice would not have been
exposed.
Expert witnesses who are guilty of bias and give phoney diagnoses of MSBP,
for example, should have their work exposed in the media and be struck off.
Expert witnesses should not be paid by the social services and not be chosen
by social services. This leads to experts giving social workers a biased
statement against the parent(s) in order to gain further work. It is highly
lucrative and completely open to abuse.
Experts should be trained by the NHS specifically and employed by the NHS so
they can be independent and assigned to the court by the judge.
Experts opinions at the moment are used to decide the fate of a family. This
is illegal but is common in the courts. A diagnosis is commonly used as a
death nell for a family.Rather than showing that a certain disorder is
affecting the ability to parent,social services are removing children just
on the say so of one expert's diagnosis.
If social workers lie in their court statements they should be subject to
investigation by the police for perverting the course of justice. At the
moment social workers are allowed to be dishonest to achieve their aims.If
they are found to have lied in court they should be be investigated and
struck off the register. At the moment social workers are unaccountable and
seem to have immunity from investigation by the police and prosecution.
The General Social care council should be scrapped. They are ineffective,
ignore parents complaints of social worker corruption without giving any
explanation as to why. They seem to be more protective of social workers
than genuinely set up to do proper investigations. Ofsted should take over.
If a social worker bullies, lies and abuses a family then the parent should
have the right to request a different worker.
Social Services complaints service needs to be totally reformed. At the
moment parents are being bullied and given false information to make them
drop their complaint. The independent investigators are chosen by the
complaints officer and they usually whitewash complaints as they are paid by
social services. Also they rely on commissions from these complaints
officers so will whitewash complaints to gain more work. The whole set up is
corrupt and its not unusual for a complaint to take 2-3 years to reach
ombudsman stage. It is totally inaccessible to nearly all people. You need
to be good at paperwork and good at challenging the misinformation given to
you by the complaints officers. You also need access to the internet to find
social work procedures and people to support you as its such a stressful and
mind boggling process.
Ofsted need to investigate the whole system and complaints officers should
have the way they handle complaints monitored. At the moment they only have
to provide statistics of complaints taken to each stage and the time the
complaint has taken to be processed. There is no scrutiny of why so many
complaints never get taken to stage 2 and what these complaints officers are
telling people in order for them to think that they can't put in a
complaint. The whole process is obstructive and all the people involved in
investigating the complaint are totally unaccountable. There is no where to
complain about complaints officers and independent investigators.
When social services first become involved with a family they should be
warned that anything they say can be used against them in court if care
proceedings are instigated. Every time a family meet with a social worker
and go to meetings it should be recorded. There are so many lies told and
misinformation given to confuse parents that this is the only way for the
court to hear the truth. All parents should be issued with the local social
services procedures and told the law regarding meetings etc. They should be
informed of local advocacy services who can accompany them to every meeting
to make sure social services staff stick to procedure and behave themselves.
All to often anxious mothers are told they can't take anyone with them to
meetings and are deliberately intimidated and bullied at these meetings.
People are not told of their rights and deliberately kept in the dark to
bewilder and confuse them, when they are already in a highly emotional
state. This is unacceptable in a modern society. It amounts to a powerful
organisation oppressing the people they claim to support.
The police should not be able to take a child on the say-so of a social
worker. At the moment the police feel obligated to do as social workers
instruct them to do. This is illegal practice but is standard.
In law the police should first assess the situation and come to their own
conclusion. This is not happening. The police are coming into people's homes
and taking the children without any assessment and on a social workers
say-so.
A social worker can lie about the parent and wildly exaggerate the risk a
child is at to the police to gain the child.The police should first do a
thorough investigation. If there is no significant harm then the child
should not be removed. It should be up to the court to make that decision.
Magistrates should be scrapped. They do not know family law. They hand out
epos and care orders without any evidence of significant harm and break the
law. They are biased towards social services and always err on the side of
caution as they are amateur laymen. They should not be involved in family
law. They are inadequate and not up to the job.Parents have no chance of
getting a fair hearing in these courts and social services always seem to
get what they want in these courts.
No care orders should be gained for emotional harm. It is very subjective
and frequently used when social workers have no evidence for physical or
sexual abuse.
Judges and everybody in the courts should be made accountable for their
decisions and behaviour. If a parent has evidence of malpractice and
corruption they should be allowed to go to the media.
If injustice does occur then a parent should be allowed to expose it.
Convicted murderers are allowed to do this so why arent families! Losing
ones children is the worst thing that can happen to a family and adoptions
should be overturned if done through injustice.
There is so much wrong with the system at the moment and nothing right with
it. Social workers have become like unaccountable Gods and most believe they
can do what they like, no matter if it is illegal and against procedure. In
fact many of them dont know their own area procedures as they do as they
please. They seem to think that saying "oh well we did it in the best
interests of the child" is sufficient to justify malpractice. Unfortunately
there are so many incompetent and malicious social workers that what they
regard as the Childs best interests is often contrary to what is in the
Childs best interests and actually harms the child. Its is very sad to see a
child with severe separation anxiety due to the bad handling of a case. If
social workers were made accountable and their actions recorded bad workers
could be weeded out.
I think there is a shortage of people going into child protection work
because social services has a reputation for being corrupt and
unprofessional and doing things in an underhanded way. If social services
were monitored by an agency like Ofsted then the service would have to
improve and in turn would attract more people with integrity.
Whistleblowers should be protected against being bullied out of their jobs
by social service managers.
Children should have an independent advocacy service and not be intimidated
from putting in a complaint. Maybe VOICE could investigate their complaints.
I do not think social workers statements should go to expert witnesses. The
expert should from his own opinion. Or if statements are sent the parent
should be able to send their own statement.
Through a jury of 6 men
and 6 women. SS, should have an independant assessor assigned to each case,
courts should continuously have judgements made scrutinised by the euro
court. Cases should be discussed also in the house of lords, so each can be
recorded properly and the lords should that way be kept aware. Judges should
face impeachment's when presenting a case, should PROVE wrong doing of
parents/carers/guardians, psychologists and other "professionals"? should
receive NO fee, but be ORDERED by a court to assess.
Disband and start again
from scratch. Both made accountable and both scrutinised by an independent
body.
there needs to be
transparency in all the local authorities and other bodies. the courts need
to be open to expose what goes on and how the ss have manipulated the
courts. forced adoption should not exist it doesn't in Europe. and we should
be allowed to challenge all evidence. the family courts NEED to work on the
proof not possible risk. the new early intervention laws should be made
public.

accountable for their actions alone would make a huge difference to the way
they are presently working.
it would stop the cavalier attitude of everybody involved by having to think
before acting.
Stop all contact with
violent parents. No violent person ought be allowed contact to a child.
Cafcass and NSPCC are both agents for the government and nothing other than
other branches of police and social work, we need independent, impartial
bodies to investigate all this. Stop allowing social workers to dictate how
people need to live, what they ought to eat etc Stop allowing social workers
bonuses to have children adopted and or fostered. Close down Adoption and
permanency panels. lose down Adoption and residential Adoption homes such as
Jamma Umpja and Coram due to Anthony Douglass and Judges having personal
interests and investment in adoption homes. A Public Inquiry into childrens
treatment at adoption and foster homes now. Specialist psychologists to
interview small children with police, gentle assessments. Children are being
assaulted in foster placements and adoptive homes now, it must be stopped.
All Social workers to be psychologically tested at random at least twice a
year. Social workers to be made to understand the constitution of this
country and it's laws. To be tried for hate-crimes where apt. To apologise
and admit accountability when stress and suffering has been caused to
children and parents. etc.
For family courts to be
open for the family to have the same rights as the local authority
If they can have experts then the family should be able to have experts. It
should not be left to a family court barrister or judge to be able to cross
examine or even pass judgement on what many experts have to say without
their theories open to cross examination. A Guardian should not have as much
power as she does when the work commitment is minimal in each case that a
Guardian reports on. In fact their should be no family court their should be
a panel representative of all parties in child care issues.
Open family courts and
stop the social services telling lies. Give stolen children back to there
family's. Setup an independant body to be on parents side so that if the
social services are biased towards the parents the parents can go to this
body which should have wide powers that if necessary be able to sack the
social worker if it has been proved that they are biased and if they make a
mistake and also this body could help parents in court to put their side
witch is not listened to. also a carpenter should be employed to put twelve
chairs in every family court so parents can be sure of a fair trial, instead
of "the balance of probability and hearsay being used, it must be beyond a
"reasonable doubt" also that parents are allowed their own experts as well
and proof that the social services have worked with the family, which at
time is not often the case 10 minutes is the usual. also the parents to sign
a form which tells how long the social worker is in the house and what
services they are offering and this will only be signed if the services have
been carried out to the satisfaction of the parents and the independant
person to counter sign if the services are satisfactory and if they are not
then to make a report to their organization so disciplinary action can be
taken against the social services. and beable to have an independant person
from the independant organization assigned to the parents to be with them at
any home visit by the social services and at all meetings including
professional ones and make an independant report to the court.
Reform social services and
abolish adoption targets and special garden ship orders reward local
authorities for no forced adoption stop the at risk and relay on fact.
1:-Abolish the family
court secrecy that gags parents who wish to complain.
2:-Abolish "emotional harm" and "risk" as justifications for putting
children into care
3:-Abolish "forced adoption" if a parent opposes an adoption in court
4:-Abolish decisions by family court judges to take babies and young
children into care. (let juries decide)
5:-Abolish the power of social services to regulate and control contact
between parents and children , to censor their conversation or to restrict
phone calls. The court must control the frequency of contacts.
6:-Abolish the restriction preventing a lay advisor from presenting a case
for parents refused legal aid
7:-Abolish hearsay evidence in family courts and require witnesses to stick
to facts without "speculation."
8:-Abolish the removal of children for non life threatening forms of neglect
such as absences from school or unsanitary dwellings unless a written
warning has been served and the situation has not been remedied.
I feel all interviews with
Social Services and any other "Professional Body" should be recorded (Taped)
as part of the procedure. Taking notes
can sometimes end up as damning, to the character of the parent/guardian.
I know this for a fact. I was absolutely disgusted when I read the Guardian
ad Litim's report about comments I was supposed to have made to her and how
I had apparently shouted at her, utter nonsense. How these people are
allowed to get away with this is beyond me.
If tape recordings were made then the judges would get a clearer idea of
what is going on. Social workers/Guardian ad Litim's would not be able to
"goad" parents and everyone who listened to the tapes would then get a
better idea of the demeanour of every person being recorded.
Don't take children away
from there families, open family courts, stop the social services telling
lies. stop braking family apart.
Better training/awareness
on parent alienation.
I would remove all targets
for fostering and adoption so that councils were no longer rewarded for
stealing children. The courts would be opened to the press and social
services would be re-trained to act differently.
If I had a say, which I do
not. I would make provision within the law to discipline social workers who
deliberately pursue Adoption agenda and ignore medical evidence, as in our
case. Social workers who perjure court documents to make cases go in their
favour should be disciplined. Extended family members should be allowed to
be party to Family court proceedings and allowed representation. Judges
should not ignore evidence from Dr's, other than those cherry picked in the
U.K. by social services to work for their agendas. International families
caught up in U.K. family courts should have the protection of law of their
own governments intervention when the subject of the family court is not a
U.K. citizen. The closed, secular family courts in U.K. should be subject to
European Human Rights law, as currently the system is violating the rights
of parents and children. The secret family court system is currently open to
abuse by professionals involved in the process. The individuals and
professional bodies should not be able to hide behind confidentiality.
Judges should not answer to the wims of social workers and take allegations
as fact as they are doing at the moment. judges should be prosecuted by the
state when they get it wrong and if applicable sent to prison for corrupt
dealings in secret. No one other than God has the right to destroy families,
and he holds them sacred and would not do.
I would bring in advisors
or experts from other parts of the European Union, it may initially seem to
be more cost expensive, but they would probably have a more neutral outlook
on the cases and would not favour the social workers or their lame excuses
for taking the children in the first place, and this would probably lead to
shorter court cases thus resulting in smaller costs in the long run.
The Labour government has
reduced by a half, the amount of money available for so-called Legal Aid.
This has meant that whilst Social Services can employ a solicitor /
Barrister the Defendant in most cases, cannot. In the main, the Defendant's
have to represent themselves.
There should be complete
openness, accountability and far more stringent checks upon the ability of
the social services setup.
Too many children that end up in social services care end up in the criminal
justice system and prison. This says that the so called care for children by
social services is failing dismally.
Expert witnesses have to
be held fully accountable for the rubbish they produce. No instruction of
expert witnesses paid for by one party only as in my case. Family courts
have to be open to journalists, politicians and approved organisations such
as Women's Aid and the NSPCC in private law cases also. IT IS NOT SUFFICIENT
TO PUBLISH JUDGMENTS ALONE IF THE JUDGMENTS HAVE COME ABOUT BY KICKING THE
LAW WITH ITS FEET AND OPENLY ABUSING PARENTS IN THE COURTROOM BEHIND CLOSED
DOORS, REFUSING THE PRESENTATION OF EVIDENCE, REFUSING TO LISTEN TO CHILDREN
AGED 10 AND 8 1/2 AS IN MY CASE ETC. The whole system stinks and I am a
mother who has been threatened to have her children removed by a politically
correct judge in January 2009 for no reason whatsoever.
More transparency, more
accountability for decisions made and more consistency between judges and
magistrates, more communication (checking their facts), when mistakes are
raised, for records to be altered in 'findings of facts'!! no apologies for
mistakes and allowance for compensation when mistakes are made, more
rigorous assessment, less protracted proceedings, more access to legal aid
for working single mums!, recognition of the immense stress of family
proceedings on the child!, less access for none deserving to legal aid and
rigorous assessments of those potentially abusing the legal aid system to
perpetuate DV against women (in particular not excluding men), social
services same again in their accountability etc, more questioning of expert
opinion and emphasis on rigorous evidence base for decisions affecting
children, children should be able to return to court in later lie and get
compensation for the damage on their lives by decisions supposedly made in
their best interests which have inhibited them achieving their potential in
life, I'm, totally disgusted with the whole system, it's politics and game
playing not about children!
By making the system more
transparent and making officials more accountable for the actions and
decisions they take. The system is to closed and it seems that everybody
knows everybody far too much. The environment where the same lawyers and
social workers are on either side of the fence is awkward and in my opinion
unjust. Everybody gets paid so they seem to perpetuate the problem for their
own ends. Credibly of professional witnesses needs to be addressed. They
should also be made accountable for their services instead of just picking
up a pay check. I feel that the inclusion of extended family should be made
and encouraged as a tool for keeping families together instead of being left
out in the cold and seeing their families torn apart.
There are some cases where exclusion or a child being taken out of an
environment is necessary, but these are the exception not the rule. If more
time effort and money were used in supporting and possibly re-educating
families where the seems to be a problem then society would be better off
and we would not be just perpetuating a system of evil. If there is a
possible problem what's wrong with social services getting involved in
helping by means of counselling ,training monitoring. The money paid to
solicitors, judges, cafcass, professional witnesses would more than
adequately pay for this
Involve more working
groups of citizens who sit on social work panels etc where decisions are
made (rather like school governors) who can be the voice of common sense and
the people. Ensure that as soon as children are reported as being at risk
they are taken into care speedily for assessment. If a child is at risk have
cctv put in the home for constant viewing.
I THINK THAT FAMILY
MEMBERS AND PEOPLE FROM THE SCHOOL AND DOCTORS SHOULD BE ALLOWED IN THE
COURT ROOM AND MY ONION. ALL FAMILY COURTS SHOULD BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND
THAT SOCIAL SERVICES SHOULD NOT TAKE CHILDREN AWAY WITHOUT SUBSTANTIAL
EVIDENCE, NOT BASED ON HEARSAY ALL CHILDREN SHOULD BE WITH THERE REAL
PARENTS SOCIAL WORKERS SHOULD NEVER WORK WITH CHILDREN AFTER THE DEATH OF
